Quick Hello to everyone.

New to the forum. Gave up about 5 years ago due to other interests. The bug suddenly got me again and have decided to take it up again. Have got myself on waiting list to join a club and am currently having a few lessons to remind my body on how to swing a golf club. It is fighting back as my back is killing me! Used to play off 13 and so hope to get back there once I join a club and get a handicap.
If anyone is interested in having a round, let me know.

Hi there Quiet Whisky

Ive just started back at the glorious game myself after several years playing a game here and there (about one or two every year). Now I have joined the local Golf Club and just cant wait for the summer circuit to open.

Used to play off 6, but age, work and other commitments have certainly added at least 10 shots onto the handicap, but 'bring it on''........

Welcome to the both of you.

I too had given up the game and returned after a number of years after playing off 6. Be patient and dont expect to much too quick.

A warm welcome to both Quiet Whisky and geejayboy. :)

Hope you enjoy the forum and get lots out of it. Judging by your past handicaps you should also have plenty of experience to draw upon too.

Oh yeah, Quiet_Whisky, watch that back mate!!! Don't rush to get back into the game. Take it nice and easy. No point in doing serious damage just as you've rediscovered this wonderful game.

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay. Good luck getting back into it but dont rush, If your backs hurting, its better to take ya time rather than try to hard and be laid up for weeks.

Welcome both.

While you are both aware of the addictive nature of the game of golf, the addiction to this forum may be something new.

Thanks Guys. Looking foward to getting back on a course. So far just had a couple of lessons with Pro and hit some balls down the range in between. Seems to be coming back to me and definate improvement from first lesson to second. Definately intend to take it easy and get my back used to swinging a club again.

I was a member at Penrith for a number of years before I gave the game up.Never played Seascale, imagine wind speed off the sea could be a big factor in your scoring.

Welcome back to the great game and to this forum, Quiet Whisky. I also left the golf for a long time and I'm glad I came back.
