Player is 5 under the css playing off 6.0 but only gets cut .8, is it due to the first initial .6 are 3 x .2 cuts then 2 x .1 cuts = .8 rather than 5 x .2 ??

Yes, as soon as they hit 5.4 the cut is 0.1 per shot.
Yes I understand that once you are actually playing off 5.4, but is it while playing off of 6 in that particular round.

Yes Wilson is correct. If you consider it as 5 separate cuts he would go 5.8.....5.6.....5.4.......5.3......5.2

well played, as others have said its cat2 until 5.4 (0.2) then 0.1 for every shot below that.

The logic is simple.
If it wasn t that way....
Player of 5.6 shoots minus 6 and goes to 4.4
Player of 5.4 shoots minus 5 and goes to 4.9 (-5 being the same score starting from a playing handicap of 1 lower)
This would clearly be wrong...so it's done the other way :thup:

Yes, once your handicap reduces to cat 1 in running, the adjustment changes to 0.1.
Ye I was aware of that, just wasn't aware it was the case for that particular round when playing off a Cat 2 h/cap. Thanks folks.
