Cartoon head covers, cool or not

Cool - you see enough pros with them on their bags and anything to show a sense of humour to other people must be good.

Not so cool this time of year when they slide off you bag in to a nice big pile of mud once (if) this snow melts.

I like them, as long as they are well made and not cheap looking then go for it. If you casn get someone to sew a cut off football sock or similar to the bottom it helps keep it on and protects the shaft as well.

My girls got me a gorilla one last Christmas, and named him George. He is very good quality and has been in my bag since. Was on the 3 wood but lost driver head cover so he is now on it. :-)

I have a Duff beer can on my 3 wood becuase it protects the shaft better then the one it came with!! And I have a few comments saying how cool it is :P but I would have to agree that 1 or 2 is about the limit or it just starts to look silly :)

The bow-winkle one is cool but I'm curious as to shaft protection, gonna try the fella out later. I know in the rain their s nightmare as they sock the water but as a few of said a big of humour us good, it should match my swing :D

Anybody who googled the words 'antithesis of cool' would find a number of definitions listed, including 'novelty head cover', 'tailored shorts', 'knee socks with shorts', 'pink clothing for men', 'multi-coloured brogue shoes', 'lofted fairway woods', 'trilby hats worn after 1974', 'coloured golf balls', 'baseball caps worn any way but the right way round'...

I could go on.

A mate brought me back a bald eagle from holiday and I used that for years until the sister in law got me gunnersaurous (arsenal mascot) for last years Xmas but he only lasted on the bag for a few months as when it rained he was too big for rain hood
