Hi folks,

My 2 year old Taylormade carry bag is starting to look a little used, and so I am going to ask Santa for a new bag.

Any ideas on what is good?

Also, is it worth getting a waterproof one, do they work?

Cheers

I have the h2no staff cart bag and it is lighter than my callaway stand bag.
I will have to get one of their (sun mountain) carry bags as well.

Cheers

Not tried the "alleged" waterproof versions although there are some on here who think the Sun Mountain one is the best out there for keeping stuff dry. My question is, in the middle of a fierce autumnal squall or going out in a medal raining start to finish is it really going to keep everything dry. Not trying to pick a fight but trying to find out if they can really cope with proper British weather

Honest answer is no Homer but if you don't open a zip then what's inside stays bone dry.

If it's raining properly then your grips are still going to get wet and it's time for the Macwets.

Cheers

Steve.

I've had a couple of Ogio carry bags over the last few years and have always been impressed with them, and yes if its raining enough most stuff will get wet.

I have the Titleist Sta- Dry bag. It's virtually the same as the Sun Mountain bag but cheaper.
I have been out in heavy rain and, ashas been said, keep the zips shut and everything stays dry. Once you open it you get water in and it's no different to any other bag. But your valuables do stay dry.
Very light, very comfy to carry. Very stable too, it would take a gale to blow it over.

I have bought both a sun mountain 3.5 and an ogio ozone in the last year. Well impressed with the ogio and not so much with the sun mountain, which i think is flimsy. Neither are waterproof though.

Sun Mountain are good bags, dont have one but the latest ping (? 5.5 ?) look like a good bag, considering investing my seasons acrued winnings from the pro shop in one.

If it rains you get wet!!

I do believe the 4 under is the one I meant (not 5.5 that must be another co's), is it any good, Im knocking on a bit now and need something nice and light to carry. Cheers

Great bag AAC, very light and sits well, also has pretty good storage for a carry bag, got mine for £70 as pro was clearing space for new stock (20%) off. Buy it.
