I do know that all the football teams who have switched to Castore kits say that they are absolutely terrible quality. Castore bought out Umbro, I believe
I know Villa had a problem but I'm not aware of any others. No issues when they made for The Toon, and blimey they sell enough shirts up here that you would know if there were problems.

But Newcastle fans only actually wear them when it's sub-zero and they're unlikely to sweat. Otherwise they're bare-chested and the shirt is tied around their wrist.

That's interesting. Not heard anything locally, either press or people. Fair enough

They moved back to Adidas partly because the Castore deal was not good for the club, Ashley cock up, and partly emotion for the fans as they did some iconic kits during the Keegan era. Obviously big money but it would have been an easy decision to go with Adidas for them

I believe Nike bought Umbro. I understand it was largely to get the England kit deal, which is a massive money maker.

I clicked on 3 polo shirts, all XS, and one base layer, 4XL :ROFLMAO: . Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

:ROFLMAO: I'm guessing that was the stuff for £6.50

To be fair I just clicked on one polo for £15 and all sizes were available:

I once bought a Castore hoodie from County Golf and it went straight back. The material felt very cheap (you do get what you paid for).

Nike used to own Umbro but sold it in 2012. Castore apparently have the "Umbro Professional Team Sports" sublicense which means they can market and supply the Umbro brand.

Wow I didn't realise that, 12 years ago too. I had just assumed that Nike were letting the brand die.
