Just wondering what you would do.
Went to a local independent shop for a new hall and stair carpet. Carefully defined the type of underlay we wanted usually buy the stuff online so know what we like). It's all on the invoice etc, and it's the same as the rest of the house.
The guys came to fit it today but I wasn't here. The wife was working from home. I got back from work just as they were finishing. After they had left I noticed the offcuts of underlay and they were of an inferior type and thickness (8mm as opposed to 11mm). I know from experience the difference in price is negligible. Maybe £15 -£20 all in.
So, do I call the company and see what they'll do about it and live with the harm to the environment if they replace it? Or am I just being daft and we should just live with it?
