You can but I think it needs to be ordered before the last day of the month or it doesnt count!

Spot on true, if you are on the 1st working day of the next month you had better get yourself to a post office ASAP!

what i would do is keep the old tax disc on display and maybe put a note saying "new tax disc applied for" and if they did a check it should come up as A ok!!!!

this should stop any of that "failure to display" malarky.which is a £60 fine i'm sure.i was lucky enough a few years back that when i had completely forgot to display mine on my ninja the traffic warden let me away with it.he said he'd do a check anyway to see if it is taxed and amazingly it came up as being not taxed

i knew it was as the new tax disc was in the house and i told him this so he said if i brought it in the next day to show him all would be ignored.....brilliant,a decent traffic warden for once

o i thought it was all on computer so thay can see you hav it before they even pull you. Same for MOT i was just given a computer print out the other day instead of the green certificate

That started last year in a bid to cut down on forged MOT certs. Looks like you could knock one up in 10mins with Publisher

When you buy your tax online, you can print out a receipt which should be sufficient to cover you

Its all on their computer links anyway, so even if they have to do a check you should be Ok
