Can golf clubs feel too soft?

I think you will find there is mate... Two completely different shafts!!!

Happy to be corrected but my understanding is there is: Dynamic Gold, Dynamic Gold SL, Dynalight Gold XP, XP 95/105, DG Pro, Dynamic Gold Tour and some others that don't start with D....

Not according to True Temper's website.

Dynamic Gold, Dynamic Gold SL, Dynalite XP and,of course, the new XP 95 & 105. I have never seen Dynamic Gold XP.

Well, you need to get out more. I've just double checked the lable on the shaft, and it is as I previously stated, dynamic gold, r300, XP. I don't give a stuff what is and isn't on their web site.

I was referring to current not old shafts.

Why not read the link I posted and you will all see that True Temper themselves explained what the Dynamic Gold XP shaft is.

I think the date of that link (nearly three years ago) might be a clue.

Yes and mine and Murphs are not on there, ours where originally only available for TaylorMade then Nike started to use then, they where meant to be going on general release but they obviously decided not to. There was a time when Dynalite where only available for Mizuno but they eventually made them available for everybody.

My TM have the Dynamic Gold XP S300 in them as well but I'm lead to believe they have been discontinued from this season to be replaced by the XP shafts

Yep you have the exact same me shafts as me. They have only ever been available for TM and then Nike. Most new releases have the DG Pro shafts I think they are called in them now.

How do you find the DG S300 XP's? I think they have great feel.

Find the shafts perfect - the clubs came with the KBS as standard but found them too rigid with no feel. The TT just feel right and breathe confidence , lovely and soft and launch the ball at the angle I want. Have always Preffered TT over other shafts

I have a demo Nike pro combo 6 iron with the standard S300 in and I think it feels lifeless compared to the XP version but in saying that I hit both well.

This is not a matter of whether the XP is a good shaft or not - it suits some, doesn't suit others. Same for the S300, although probably not for the same people.

But a R300XP and S300 have rather different playing characteristics in terms of flex, tip stiffness and if you try the new XP105, weight, so they will inevitably feel different and if you can't eel the difference you must be rather unusual. Or play club heads made of something very hard indeed.

Does it matter how old it is???

If the shaft manufacture themselves have give details on the shaft then what's the difference??? The shafts haven't Changed since then.

It wasn't me that claimed it was a currently available option.
