Has anyone got these and how hard are they to hit. My pro says that i could use them just about atm but they would last me for a long time, how hard are they actually hard to hit. He's got some second hand for 300, which is a really good deal . . . so what i want to know from u guys is is it worth it. BTW i am a fairly consistent striker of the golf ball and have good iron swings.

Fundy has them and when I play with him I always hit one at warm up, they are so so sweet, I have not hit a bad shot with them, though I have hit very few shots with them. It kinda weards me out as he has X stiff shafts and they are very small heads, but I do so love to hit them.

Personally I think he's looking for a quick sale and that really there are much better irons more suited to your game. The new Mizuno range, S56 or even the TM TP's I use would all be a lot more forgiving and help you now and in the future as you come down

But, do u reakon i could use them, or do u reakon i would just be chopping my way round

Some good some bad, your good shots will feel great, your off center hits wont.

As Homer sort said, they are not really for you. I feel your need though, I would be the same. Take the £300 and get something elce imo.

Guys, I can only reiterate what Homer has already said. At a very similar handicap to you, I can honestly say that I wouldn't go near these with a barge pole. Cracking looking clubs, but with a mid-high teens handicap you are never going to have the consistency needed for the prototype.

There are plenty of iron sets out there that mix feel and forgiveness, and one thing that the prototypes will not have is much forgiveness.

At £300 a steal, though only if you can hit them! May be worth putting them away for a few years until that handicap drops!

Unless you're rapidly improving I'd say steer clear. The nearest thing to a real blade that Cally does, very unforgiving on a handicapper's swing. Spend less than the 300 notes on a set of X-20 Tours or similar. They'll play better for you and will last just as long.

I've got a set of them, cost me more than that though! The 3-iron (which didn't come with my set, I bought it off someone on AVForums!) is lovely, I was swishing it something lovely on Sunday and you could barely feel the impact it was so soft!

I like them, lots, will take a lot to get me to change anytime soon.
