Someone once suggested that we need bigger holes.

Golf course I played occasionally at in Germany....which got pretty sloppy during the winter....went to temp greens all winter and used to put in bigger holes. I always used to think of them as coffee can size, so about twice as big. I thought that was about right for putting on a bumpy lumpy green.
