Callaway Razr XF irons

They're a bit of a Jekyl & Hyde aren't they, Ugly little bleeders from every angle but strangely look alright in the address position.

As has already been said, not sure I could look at them in my bag.

P.S. Tappers, you might want to check the spelling on some of the captions under the pics...

"have been launcherd promising maximim forgiveness"

Assistant Editor you say :D :D

I don't really see where they're going to fit into the range. You have the Razr Forged - Tour quality club, Razr X Tour - players club, Razr X - SGI club.
A forged club with "Big Bertha" looks and forgiveness and a hefty price tag doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

A pity that they couldn't have made it better looking.

Are these instead of, or as well as the RAZR forged? The RAZR forged are very nice irons.

As some have said they have a nice face shape and a shockingly thin top line for a club with such a wide sole.

Kid: My understanding is that a black face over silver helps the eye not see the offset and top line so much. All the Titleist 910 woods are smoke black this year for that reason. One problem with that is that when you practice on mats the sole goes silver again, maybe that's why they left it silver. I hate the silver sole too, looks like the burner 2.0 irons... Ugly!

The price is huge, my whole bag can only have cost that much!! However the have marketing people and they must see a gap for wealthy people who will do anything to play better. I would want a Callaway girl to visit for the week for that sort of money...

That said, if the salesman could make me play of 12 with them I would give him £16000 for them.

Iv read a heap about the X24 Hot irons that Callaway had out there a while back.....
They have a similar finish to these new ones and they all complained about that finish wearing after a few rounds with them and the silver coming through on the face.....

For a club thats demanding such an absolute stupid price in the current economic climate it would want to nearly swing itself...

Sorry for the rant gents but in my opinion no set of irons is worth that price.
The staff at Callaway may as well be sporting balaclava's and wielding a weapon....

Are you mental? No-one is forcing you to buy them so whats the problem? Callaway can charge whatever they like for a set of irons its their show after all.

With all due respect as i said in my reply.......It's my opinion......And i stand by it....

Neil asked what the Forum thought....They are my thoughts on the subject.....

Stupidly expensive.
And i dont recall saying that i was being forced to buy them.
