Callaway optifit hosel question

I have a Callaway Quantum Max 10.5 driver. I want to increase the loft by 1°

On the website it shows an image of the hosel at 11.5° with the top cog (nearest the head) set at +1 and the lower cog set at N.

However, on my club there is no +1 on the top cog only N, -1, D, and +2.

The lower cog has +1, N, S, and D.

So do I set the lower cog to +1 and the top cog to N, to make the loft 11.5?

I haven't seen the latest Optifit but pictures show the lower CoG with the + as being the left handed version rather than the right....
Are you a lefty?
Might need to check with where you bought it from as, of it is a lefty and you're a righty, the changes may be reversed..

Sorry dont understand what you mean, I'm not left handed no, the picture of the hosel is on Callaway link I added to bottom of post.

Yes, I think you just use the combination of cogs to get the setting you are after.

I wasn't sure if the top cog was to do with the loft and the bottom cog the lie, I presume the lie is the N, D and S settings and the +1 is nothing to do with lie? am I correct?

Yes, +1 is for increasing the loft only. Putting a cog on the d setting will change to a draw setting by making the club more upright.

No...the cogs have no relation to loft/lie...you just adjust each cog so you get the combination of settings that you want....sometimes that will mean the +1 loft will be on the upper cog...sometimes it will be on the lower cog.

Th new Optifit4 cogs are an absolute nightmare to figure out...but they don't use them on the new Quantum drivers (or the previous Elyte drivers)...only the 3-wood and hybrids. The drivers retain the old Optifit 3 cog system.

Callaway is a good design as the shaft does not rotate.
