Hey folks

Anyone use the mack daddy 2 tour grind wedges?
Seen one yesterday in a golf shop, had a wee swing with it and it felt great, really good solid feel, but didn't get to hit balls :(

So looking feedback if any has them. Thanks

Yes, changed to them from Vokeys at the beginning of this season.

Happy to say that the 54 & 60 are fantastic, really like them.

Only my opinion....

Brilliant for a slider or if you like opening the face on a lot of shots.
Not so good for a digger especially with a square face.

The sole grind means the leading edge sits very low to the ground even with an open face.

Spin as good as anything else I've used.

Thanks three, good on full and short shots? Plenty stop?

Yes to all, highly recommended, and that's from a life long Vokey user.

I also had a 50°, didn't get on so well with it due to it being quite a "weak" club distance-wise.

Thanks three.

Cheers R3 my clevelands currently get the face opened on most shots With the 58, the 52 is more of a passenger in the bag, prob only use it a few times in a round at most.

Def on my list then,I love a good wedge.

I have 2 of them. The major difference I've noticed is how much spin you get out the rough and the groves have stayed much shaper than my ping tour wedge

Thanks hovis, do you all have standard wedge flex dynamic gold, or did anyone go for a change? I have kbs in my Clevelands and would probs be looking something different to dg wedge flex

I have KBS wedge flex in my wedges and S300 in the rest of the irons

Best thing would be to try a few shafts

I have these wedges in 52 and 56 and really rate them. Nice weight, spinny and feel good. I think the grind works well with open faced shots. I use TT DG wedge flex although J gave C tapers in my irons.. I don't think the shafts makes too much difference in wedges. I also have a 60 in the PM grind. Unusual looking wedge but it seems to work, especially out if bunkers and rough.

Thanks Ethan, might just be a mental thing but I feel happier with the kbs on less than full shots, outside 100 yards then I'm fine with either, delicate wee lobs over bunkers or inside 50 yards the kbs seem to give me better results.
Glad to see lots of positives though, as I really liked the way they sit.
