I was recently told that Ping have started charging for altering clubs. Did the Pro mention this? Obviously it wouldn't be on a new set.

They only charge for shipping the clubs (if required). The alteration is free and you can still book an appointment at Gainsborough to have it done while you wait.

Not actually made a purchase yet. Want to go back and try the woods and wedges and get a full set. Not sure if I'll go Anser or G25 for the driver as both look awesome. Depends what the numbers say.

Hmmm perhaps! I read the thread and only right at the end realised he hadn't actually bought them!

awesome Martin! i would 100% recommend going for the full fitting though, A for the Experience, and B to try every possible shaft they do! i was amazed at the difference in shafts when i got fitted, the stock stiff for my TM's was OK, and i would have probably bought them thinking these are great, but once i had the KBS in it was even more Awesome-IER!

Congrats on finding your irons anyway, good luck on the woods front old man! ;-)

Enjoy them Homer, i've gone g25 and have the driver and 4w.......they are great clubs, esp the 4w. Id say the driver was on a par with the i20 I had previously in terms of consistency, but the g25 is a bit longer. Incidently, I chose the g25 over the tm r1, rbz 2, x hot and the red nike one !!


Oh, and btw im 35 , dont pee my pants and use ping clubs
