Looking for a new driver and have narrowed it down to these 3 has anyone ever used any of these or know anyone that has? Whats your thoughts guys? Im a 26hcp
Cheers

I would take a look at the yonex 3i in 10.5deg as I loved my yonex. You can get the 3i at a very good price but be warned the stiff shaft I found to be Very stiff. I tried a titleist 909d2 with regular voodoo shaft which I liked and they are available at a decent price 2nd hand

I would also take a look at the Nike dymo or machspeed range which you can at a good price and in my opinion is more forgiving than the Yonex. Ive moved over to Nike after first buying my vr split cavitys and havent looked back.

Thanks for the advice pal I've looked at the Nike driver on sports directs website and it's down to £129 which I'm not sure is a good price or not?!

Online golf are doing the machspeed for 119 or the vr pro for 139. If your after something a little cheaper one of my playing partners uses Tm super fast woods and he has a slow swing but gets very good results from a 3/4 swing. You can get the driver for 99.

Have you considered 2nd hand as there are bargains to be had if you are not getting the driver fitted.

You could always head to your local AG for a go on the machine and try a few out but be prepared for the sales pitch on their main deal items

I have the yonex, absolutely fantastic club. First driver I've had where I'm consistently straight.

For under £100 you can't buy a better new driver, but like eveything if it works for one person it wont for the next. if you do take the plunge make sure you get the right flex shaft as the stiff shaft in my driver required a faster swing than mine and I found myself trying to hard to swing fast enough which caused no end of bother.

My 3wood have a regular flex shaft and I could hit that off the deck further than the driver, it was just awesome and I still miss it even though my nikes are right up there as well.

American Golf have the TM Burner 2.0 on offer at £129 which I have just bought (23 HCP) and think its great, each to their own though.

AG also have the Cobra S3 at £119, best bet would be to go give them a bash before settling? Thats what I done and ended up with the TM

These two clubs are really playing on my mind cos they're both quality and both on sale need to have a pod look into both of these! Is the tm burner quiet forgiving for you?

Have you got the 3i mate?? What hcp are you? HOw forgiving are they?

Yep, I have the 3I, with the stiff shaft. Unofficially, handicap is 24, can drive it up to about 240 yards but straight which suits me.

Try it at AG if you can but personally, for £79 you can't go wrong.

Only used it on the range when I was trying out the drivers and on the course today. Really forgiving compared to my last driver but im putting that down to the shaft, I now have a stiff shaft because I have a fast swing. Only had 2 bad drives today and that was down to my own fault of trying to murder the ball when I was over confident haha! I would definitely get down to and American Golf that has an outdoor range so you can see the results with your eyes, if its an indoor monitor I'd take the results with a pinch of salt

Yeah from Gateshead but never bought second hand clubs from anyone :)
