Now I get it. Anyone who spends more that three quid on golf equipment is a mug.

Just say it instead of using silly memes and get your feelings towards others out.

I just tried to find one of a couple doing a week all inclusive in Tunisia for seven ton, but it only came up with a week long bus ride :ROFLMAO:
Jeez calm down Jeff Bezos, only a bit of banter 😬

Apologies. My statement was to take the p1ss out of Meme Boy, so was misplaced.

First unpleasant member I’ve come across, but it’s banter you know…

Anyway, enjoy Tunisia.
😂👍

No probs me man. Absolutely gutted, we booked that New Year’s Eve and I saw one al Iberostar AI 7 days £365 each, same dates. All rooms gone 😖
Back to the driver post though. I might be looking for a new one for me birthday in March 👍

Rick Shiels might consider it very impressive, and Hannah Holden find it unbelievably straight, and it must be hard to give real improvements every year, but Callaway looks to have made a big booboo with the Elyte.

Its just average for Crossfield, so a backward step really. James Robinson reckons that Callaway have messed up, and Average golfer is even stronger, saying it has a major issue. Which begs the question, will anyone at all buy such a problematic club ? Alex Etches too, scratching his head asking what the hell has Callaway done, and that this is no elite club. Same view from The Golf Supply, stating as well that its a big step backwards.
Interested in a driver upgrade this season, but this offering looks like a turkey that even missed Christmas.

Thanks for summarising reviews! What’s the issue with it for the negative reviews? Don’t really see what can be so wrong apart from it’s another driver with not much do deliver on, so let’s make sth up 😂

The last tangible innovation imo was the carbon crown, since then it’s been marginal at best?

Good summary

Problem is, who do you trust now? Most of the YT now will want to keep on the OEM gravy train of trips abroad and free clubs - I can imagine a negative review won't sit well with the manufacturer..

Most of the negativity appears to be around the styling of the sole of the club....so called "shelf appeal". "Average Golfer" mentions this along with the fact that he cant get more ball speed out of the club....seemingly a typical smash factor of 1.4 to 1.45 is the clubs fault.

Crossfield's gripe was the fact that he couldn't improve his head speed and ball speed from what he is used to. He compared it to an old (un-named) model and saw no improvement in terms of speed and distance.

Hit it out the middle you’ll get the same smash factor as every other driver.

James Robinson didn’t say they messed up other than his click bait title to the video.
I didnt watch his video, but he is a professional reviewer with a big following, and when his view distils to it having an ISSUE and Callaway having MESSED UP, thats enough of a red flag to me. No way would I buy it. There will be plenty more out in the next couple of months, and it doesnt look like we are going to get much golf here at the moment anyway.

Like any golf clubs, it’s about whether it works for you, not some person on the internet.

Robinsons video opens up with him purring "perfect" on every shot before asking if Callaway have "messed up". He keeps saying how great the drivers are and how great they look and perform during his review but again keeps asking "if Callway have ruined "it". Finally, after hitting the Triple Diamond version a few times, he turns to the camera and asks a final time "have Callaway ruined their driver"?....and emphatically answers his own question....No.

At no point during his video does he say that there is an issue with the club....he absolutely loved it.

Did you actually watch any of the videos?
Or just read the headline grabbing click bait titles?

No negativity to be fair
Except maybe looks, sole, shelf appeal, and wether the triple diamond should be matt like the other 2 models or better as gloss....
