Bunker rakes

For me the best place is on a stand that props the rake up outside the bunker but happy to do as any club requires.

Those advocating removing rakes are being ridiculous!
Agreed Ken, when we had the Y shaped iron rods outside the bunker we had very few issues, what we have now, with obviously a lot of folk not paying the slightest notice to what they should be doing, is leading to some very unfair lies when basically the vast majority of the bunkers do tend to feed the ball to the centre/front. Btw the bunkers look sensational with the riveted faces and burnt surfaces

It's golf. There is no such thing as an unfair lie.

Fair enough but when there are approximately 100 bunkers on the course and all except for maybe 2 or 3 have the rake placed in the middle as instructed so that the ball runs to the middle as designed it's unfair if you catch 1 of the 2 or 3 where some idiot has left the rake half in and half out with the ball under the head of the rake 6 inches from the back lip of the bunker on a downslope, but heyho maybe it's just me !
