Do any of you Guys and Gals use this booking system at your clubs and if so what do you think. We are just about to start using it at ours

We've had it running for a year now and it's the best thing they ever did at the club.
So easy to keep track, you can see when the course is busy and you don't have to wait for someone to answer the phone.
Brilliant

Yea it a great & most importantly a fair system , first up gets the time they want.. ours goes live fri 10am for the comps the following weekend .. if your on at 10 you can choose virtualy what time you want .. where as before the time sheet was full up to 9.45 before it went up ..

Yep our club operates an online booking system. Like others have said, its easy to avoid big groups and see if the course is busy. If the course isnt busy then theres no problem justing turning up and going out at our place. You do however still get people who think its fine to turn up at peak times go to the first tee without a booking and just start playing.

Our club gets 250+ out for each competition, tee time for the Saturday opens the thursday-week before (week and a bit beforehand) at 7pm exactly. Demand is very high and inside 5 mins the entire Saturday is taken up for all usable slots.
I go on and punch refresh bang on 7pm, its in the lap of the gods whether I get clicking my preferred time (general time around 10-11am does rightly, my fourball isnt so picky)
I know some fourballs have all signed up to register for time slots, they all log on and grab a time each, then phone each other and decide on the best suited time amongst their locked times, meanwhile they have taken 3 time slots away from those wanting to book. It then takes 3 mins for those times to become freed up again (time out if not booked after 3 mins) and then there is a scramble for those left without a tee time simply because they went about it the proper way. Potentially you could have 1-2hours worth of slots locked out because some selfish arses abuse the system.

I cant see how they (BRS) can "fix" this because every member has the right to book a tee time, but misusing it just to grab their preferred exact time is a bit off in my opinion. I mentioned this to a guy I know who works for them and he said the company were not even aware that this problem existed so cant see it being addressed any time soon.

Should only lock them for 3 mins tho Steve , you might have to refresh the screen tho .. i was told you can only book one line on your sign in (3 names singles or 4 names tops) doesnt seem to be the case as one guy books his name with guests on a couple of lines in the tuesday open day .. maybe the committee do this for some reason tho , cant be sure .

We used to be able to book 2 times each Bill but not anymore, ours slows up up on a Saturday to the stage it froze up for longer than that, maybe a problem at our end, a good system tho

I think the club management has access to an audit trail on bookings and should be able to have a look, analyse and identify regular abusers.

Yes, My club has just started using the System
Very easy to use, really happy
Ours is open, 7pm, booking 9 days in advance, for 7 days per week
Better than the previous booking system, of guys turning up at 6am, camped out in the car park, on a saturday or sunday to book for the following saturday or sunday.............

What is BRS?

We have an online booking thingy for medals but I would like to see it extended so that its in use 24/7 or certainly on bank holidays.

Our Saturday morning groups are excluded from using this booking system. We block book the whole morning and the groups are instructed to give their details to the operations guys. They then book the slots, leaving some gaps for irregular groups.

Seems to work well, and if you only occasionally play on Saturday morning then you simply send an email and your name is added when they allocate the slots.

Requires a bit of work from the office but it stops the fighting :)
