broken rib

Hi returning from Golf this morning had car crash broken rib. any one had one and how long till you can play again.
Im a bit worried doing a golf weekend on 17-18 october.

When did you have your injury, you might need to give this as much as much as six weeks heel.

If you come back before your ready you will agrovate it and put your recovery back.

I cracked a couple playing football one time and it hurted like hell for a week or so. If I remember correctly I was playing again after about two weeks or so, so with a bit of luck you might be alright.
Hope it gets better quickly for you. It really hurts when you laugh so be a miserable sod for the duration

I also had this following an accident and whilst the rib repair time was not that long I had a long term problem with my mind assuming that the follow through was going to hurt like heck and my golf swing was therefore all over the place.

I ended up leaving the trolly in the car and carrying the clubs on the 'sore' left side and lifting and dropping the clubs with my left arm. This fear must have taken longer to 'repair' than my blooming ribs!

However that did the trick!

It depends to an extend if they are proper broken, or just cracked. Proper broken will be more than 6 weeks. I've cracked ribs before, and been ok prertty quickly, but the last 10% takes ages.
