Just wanted to share my happy news!

I broke 80 (shot 77) for the first time since coming back to golf 7 months ago. Was only a bounce game but I am chuffed.

Been a good summer with 3/4 rounds in each week (thanks to a v understanding g/f) and for the first time I held it together in home stretch.

Sorry, happy rambling over now! We can all go back about our business! :)

Well done, great round of golf, especially considering the winter conditions, wind ect.

Hopefully your form will carry on into next season!

Thanks for the comments guys. Have to admit when I just started back I wondered if I would ever get back to old form. As it is, hopefully I am coming onto something even better!

i also broke 80 - for the first time since joining my club in Jan 07...

didnt play especially well, just steady all the way round. My chipping and putting is usually horrific, but was ok yesterday which made all the difference

first round in a while with no treble :D even when my tee shot ended up lodged in a tree (which i hit it out of) on stroke index 1...

just waiting for the results to be posted on the net - hope my net 65 will be good enough to get my name on the board (one of my golfing dreams could come true!)

Great news - know the feeling of just getting up that home straight without falling apart.
Wishing you many more of them!

Guess what?? I did as well for the first time ever. Shot 78 on my home club which is a par of 71 (off 16). Interesting thing though is it was the first round I had played since I had the length of my irons reduced and new grips put on. Seemed to do the trick. :D

Second sub 80 Sunday for me. Shot 79 today with 2 double bogeys and a triple. Oh it could have been such a belter!! :)
