Virtuocity is a happy boy but also in need of advice.

I scored a gross 78 (first time I've broke 80 ever- never mind in a medal) for a net 60 (9 under SSS, which will be 9 or 10 under CSS). Left a few shots out there as well!

I'll get a cut of 2.7 or 3 which will take me to 15.5 or 15.2 depending on CSS.

Questions:

1. I have a matchplay tie on Tuesday. If the results aren't published by then, do I cut myself to 15.5 (i.e. SSS)?

2. Someone in the car park told me that I had scored well and because I was cut on Tuesday and have also received another cut this year, it might invoke "Clause 19"? Does this seem likely and what might the implications be for me? Bear in mind my location- ESR don't exist in this bonny part of Britain.

Thanks in advance.

1. yes - cut is 2.7 until the results are published and the CSS is known (at which point your new handicap should also be published :))

2. ignore people you speak to in the car park

well done

Excellent arrows!!

Cut against SSS until the results are published.

Beware of strangers in car parks! They're making assumptions.

Amazing to think that in September I was struggling to play to 24. Met James and now down to 15/16.

I urge forumers to go swinging with him in a car park.

Congrats great shooting.

Cut against SSS until results published, as your union isn't invoking ESR can't see a clause 23 cut but maybe the h/cap sec might decide to get his butchers knife out!
That's what you get swinging in car parks from strange men........

Very well done - that's great shooting , make sure the horse is kept hydrated ;)

If you don't have ESR they may give you an extra cut ?

Very well done, congratulations you seem to be progressing well. Regardless of what happens with handicap & your tie you'll stick be getting strokes on all of the harder holes so a lower handicapper would need to be getting birdies to beat you...assuming you play to handicap.Which course are you a member?

So there's little chance of a 'general play' cut as well?

the answer to this will depend on your recent history

in principle performances that would create the recommendation of a system generated ESR elsewhere should be similarly rewarded by the apparently consistent and active SGU handicap committees; they just don't need a system to tell them how to do their jobs...

what shouldn't happen is any additional change based on this result alone; that would be a statement of 'we know better than CONGU' so it obviously wouldn't happen....

Would 20.7 > 19.1 > 18.2 > 15.5 make me a candidate?
