Brocket Hall

Played it on a corporate day 3 years ago. Amazing place. Not sure it was worth the 4k per 4 ball the business paid. Charlie Brockets after dinner speech was funny tho, talking about the Ferrari in the lake. Would defo go back....

Ahhh...the infamous "Old Farts v Whippersnappers" meet (part II).
To be fair Rich, it wasn't Brocket Hall that let us down, it was the "agent" I was booking through (can't remember their name now).
They had confirmed a date and price (after much faffing around and swapping dates to accommodate them) and I was waiting an age for them to let me know how much deposit they wanted etc.
I kept chasing and chasing and getting fobbed off, and in the end it transpired that Brocket Hall hadn't even published their prices or confirmed availability with them, so I let it go in the end.
It was a shame because the venue looked ideal.

Perhaps we should look at starting up the Old Farts V Whippersnappers again. You could captain the Old Farts and guest100718 could be the captain of the Whippersnappers. Slasher is probably an Old Fart now.;)

I'd be up for a bit of that. I'd be an O F in case you haven't guessed, assuming they don't start at 60+ or more 😄

Think H4H has enough going on personally without introducing another element. It is the sort of event that deserves its own day but a nightmare to arrange I would think

Actually, it's fairly straightforward....all we have to do is get players to write their age on the scorecards.......if we get for example 90 forumers playing, we take the average Stableford score of the 45 oldest players and compare it against the average score of the 45 youngest......spreadsheet will work it out no problem.....similar to the North v South comp.....

I quite like the idea if we don't get round to organising a separate meet for it.

Exactly - I'll certainly lend a hand on the day or before
