I was given a dozen of these to try out ( thanks DG ) after getting fitted for my irons recently
The E5 ball which has changed recently, new green coloured box etc is a distance and control ball
They claim the feel of the ball for short game is like the ProV1,
Played the ball yesterday and long, mid game the ball is nice with good distance etc
Short game the ball is superb, approach shots and chipping / putting all felt very sweet and easier to feel
I found i was able to judge short distances better as the ball felt softer so gave good feedback on those delicate shots near the green
My usual ball is the AD333 or DX3 as i cannot afford high end costing balls, however the E5 are £15.99 at DG at the moment so a fair price for a better ball in my opinion
This will now be my summer ball as well so i can get better stopping results on our fast greens i hope !
