Breaking the rules makes you a cheat?

or being a member of one club ( green fees £820 ) and h/c 7,but also a member of another club near WINWICK (green fees £240) and there having a h/c of 16 and producing this h/c certificate for open comps at other courses not in the area, and yes i did report him but was told he had declared the one with his higher h/c as his home course and they could do nothing !!!!!! that is a cheat.

I don't understand this.... Surely his handicap has to be carried across from one club to another regardless of which is his handicap. The clubs morally and professionally have a job to do of giving each other his scores between each other to ensure that under CONGU its accurate, balanced, correct and the same for both clubs. Which would stop him from declaring an inaccurately high handicap at his "home" club.

I'd be having words with the secretary at each one and getting them to sort their admin out. Plus a quick email to the county golf union secretary would soon quash it.

But as JPH put it the fact he's trying to do it "he's a wrong'un"

i don't think he tells each club he is a member at the other, that would be stupid if he did,and as both clubs come under a different union he would not be on their radar,he was a member at a club i played at before moving and i think he left under a black cloud from there,he is a glory hunter and i only know what he does after he played in a comp in WALES that i played in and he came second,as for reporting him i would sooner he fell on his own sword and got his comeuppance in a more public arena rather than a quit word in the secs office.

Clearly the man has no conscience and morals. I'd publically out him, easy enough to do with all the modern technology all you need to do is hit the send button
