So he starts with only 10 in the bag while his are being sent from airport (a borrowed driver, irons & a putter bought at the on site shop)

Around the 4th tee his have arrived and he adds 4 clubs 3w, hybrid, wedge & putter (doesn't use putter as the shop one working well)

Have you ever had to/been allowed to add clubs at the turn etc?

It's not a case of being allowed it's in the rules as allowable as long as total doesn't exceed 14 and you are not replacing a club wilfully damaged not a common occurrence why would you unless it's exceptionally circumstance like Brandt yesterday?

What makes it worse is i had a couple of quid on Bjorn for the tournament and Snedeker beat him with all that messing about going on!

yup, as said. You can add to your bag to bring to the total allowance, but you are not allowed to replace...hence why he couldn't just leave the clubs he had borrowed and then use his own.

Some media reports say Snedeker had to be granted permission from tour officials, why would this happen for something that's in the rules!

First guess would be lazy journalism. I believe the derogatory term is churnalism, where one person writes a report and then all the other journos basically copy what the first wrote.

I had a wedge regripped and the pro brought it out to me on the 3rd tee as I had to tee off on time, perfectly acceptable
