Bob's asked about Christmas dinner but how many of you do bubble & squeak for Boxing Day - we just love it!

Chris

Bubble and squeek!!! she'd bloody wear it if HID offered that muck up on boxing day. It's a leg of pork, carrots, sprouts, parsnips, yorkshire puddings, mash, roast and gravy followed by some gateaux for afties.

Sorry Drawboy, Boxing Day was invented for bubble & squeak!

You can have Christmas dinner any day of the week!

Chris

A couple of slices of Turkey tit meat, a couple of slices of nice lean Gammon, mashed potatoes, peas, pickled onions, Branston, pickled red cabbage, couple of mince pies with the tops removed and stuffed full of "Tesco finest" extra thick Jersey double cream.
Heaven.

HID always does another roast dinner for Boxing day but I'd prefer it the way we had it as kids: either
cold meat, chips, pickles, or
the thick eating soup made from the turkey carcass with big wedges of fresh bread

I never had bubble&squeak then - I didn't eat anything green
I would now so must remember to rescue the spare.

Bubble and squeak, cold bird, gammon, rib of beef, various pickles including my legendary home-made pickled onions which are awesome so I am told.

The food of the Gods Jon!!

The Gastronomic delight of Christmas for me. Make sure there is plenty of veg left over Xmas day and there are plenty of burnt bits. :D :D

Couldn't agree more drawboy. We usually have a gammon, roast spuds etc. I'm too young to be eating mushed food. :D
