Bourbon

Personally love Drambue has herbs and spices with heather honey. Lovely neat with 2 ice cubes.
My favourite too. I mix it with 50/50 straight whiskey to just lessen the sweetness a bit.
I thought I'd invented this myself but found it's a popular variation on straight Drambuie known as a "Rusty Nail"
I like plenty of crushed ice in mine.

OI! get your own Scotch Whisky thread...........Bourbon talk only in here *hic*

Although I'm a recent convert to Single Malt, I have always loved a bit of bourbon.

Knobs Creek is nice. I really like the JD Silver Select too.

For the Drambui drinkers, I recently got my dad a bottle of the 15 year old, which is really rather good. Not quite as sweet as the standard.

KNOBs creek is worth a try

*Knob Creek

I actually really like a glass of Knob Creek. Was drinking Woodford reserve last night, which seemed to be nice as an everyday drink, nothing special but some nice flavour to it.

if you highlight my post and quote, you'll see what I said.............I should have been a spy;)

If you don't like the peaty scotch whiskies then why not try all the rest? Guarantee there will be some to your taste.....especially if you can stomach that Bourbon stuff.....as for that.........Knob Creek is very good....with coke. :)

I like biting one half of biscuit off and then scraping the filling off the other bit with my teeth, before dunking that half in my mug. :)

Sounds a bit OCD to me. I bet you always insist on putting on your socks before your shoes as well? :mmm:

Do you have it neat?
I've never been a fan of drinking it that way so being the philistine I am I have mine with cola.

Bourbons with Coke for me. As for whiskys, it depends what mood I'm in. Sometimes I'll have a good malt neat or a little water. On other occasions, even if its a decent malt, it may get drenched in coke... my whisky, my choice.
