There’s been a bit of a mini explosion in these type of brands in golf.

The likes of Vessel Golf Bags, Sunday Golf Bags, G-Fore etc etc.

I have some G fore shoes and love them and am on the look out for a new stand bag. I’m tempted by the below but am a bit put off by the price. Hoping for a Black Friday dealer but I think it’s doubtful.

What do you all think of these brands ? Are there any more that are worth looking at ?

I don't know what boujee means. But I often see new golf brands pop up, that look like they might be nice, but they're selling polos for £60 and midlayers for £75. No thanks. A classic bit of 'golf pricing' where they want us to think 'it's expensive, it must be good quality' but I'm not going to take a stab on it at that price.

Vessel are supposed to be very good. Sunday Golf I've heard are quite good for pencil/smaller bags. Trouble is, you can't be sure if they've not paid for the reviews, so make sure you trust the reviewer.

It means high end / luxurious.

You’re right that it also means the gear is expensive, but great quality.

Polo’s are usually north of £100 but Scottsdale have some in ‘Black November’ deal for £50.

I'm never, ever going to spend that on a polo shirt. When I know I can get great quality branded polos for £25-30 from multiple other sources.

Vessel has been doing golf bags for some time. I have a g fore carry bag made by vessel for some time and it’s still looks brand new. Tittliest Sunday bags are made by vessel too not sure if they doing bags for other manufacturers.

I have several different brands of polo. Some are a little better than others and the fit is probably the biggest difference. But in terms of how they feel... I would say that there is very little difference between an Adidas one available for roughly £20 from County Golf, and an £80 one from Peter Milar.

Peter Millar golf polos feel great though.

High praise indeed for Adidas in that case

Over £100 for a polo? People are nuts. What makes it different from a decent Adidas or Nike polo that you get for £30?

I only know what boujee means as I remember a couple of years ago my kids friend called us boujee because I was lazy that week and bought a bag of grated cheese rather than a block of cheese.

I've had my eye on a Greyson hoodie, saw Justin Thomas wearing it, a quick Google later and it was on screen priced at a bargain price of £299.
I'd rather freeze but it does look nice.

I struggle with expensive branded stuff generally - the quality and practicality rarely seem to match the price.
The various incarnations of Ping Hoofer bags are just so good in respect of value, practicality and longevity that, having had a couple, I can't even see the point in looking at anything else.
I also struggle with even the moderately priced golf-specific clothing. On all but the very hottest, sweatiest days, I find a Next or M&S jersey cotton polo much more comfortable than my UA synthetic golf polos. And a merino or cashmere zip-neck sweater is more warm, breathable and comfortable than any synthetic sports mid-layer I've ever owned.
Plus, if I'm in Tesco on my way home I don't look like a golf nob; just a standard nob.

Vessel golf bag - my son has used one all season (a lot of golf) and it looks pristine. I would vouch for the quality. He was 'influenced' by Rick Shiels but it is a long way from that or overpriced junk.

Peter Millar - I love a quick sweep as the sale kicks in as I get tempted by the Scotty Cameron t shirts through the year and then buy the 'blank' version in the end of year Millar sale👍

The higher quality polos from Adidas and Nike are about £80 now full price. Although I'd never pay that when you can get them for less than half price at county golf etc.
