Bloomin' weather....

with a snow Plough ?

No, just topped down with a Flymo. It's been getting earlier every year, normally it was always the second week in March for the garden and end of March for the range, but last year the garden was last week of Feb. Soon we'll be cutting grass all year round. :(

Won't be doing mine for a while, despite the warm winter we have had so far, moss sort of takes over over the winter up here. was having a look this afternoon and the bits i had hollow tined and reseeded in September and were looking good before Christmas have just disappeared.. i don't know why i bother:(

I know it's winter me the weather's supposed to be dodgy but I've had enough of it now...
If it's not freezing cold and solid ground, it's hacking down with rain on to the frozen ground causing flooded courses...
I've yet to play on a fully open, unfrozen course this year - and I'm a member of two clubs until April!!!!
Getting a bit peeved.........

You can't control the weather, why get annoyed about something you can't control? Sounds a bit foolish to me. Go and occupy yourself doing something else if you can't go to the range.

Been fully open but getting colder with a risk of frost and so the chance of temporary greens again. I can't play or practice and while going slightly stir crazy, keep thinking by the time I can get out and play/practice, longer nights are coming and in two weeks time I hope warmer weather will start to be a more regular theme

I've seen the forecast, and I'm not even looking at the clubs this weekend. Cold easterly winds are no fun! Even cancelled our regular Wednesday evening at the range today. I shall find something warm to do this weekend instead.

This time last year we had had rain almost every day since the start of November and the course was sodden. It was so bad that the greenkeeper couldn't get any machinery out on the course until the middle of April.

This year, although there is the odd muddy patch, the ground is still firm to walk on and the greens and fairways are being cut regularly. As I am virtually a weekend golfer at this time of the year I am constantly looking at the forecast throughout the week hoping for the best. We have been exceptionally lucky (so far} in North Wales in that there has only been one day of frozen greens and one day of rain for our weekend golf.
