Bloody Scratch Golfers

Came 2nd to a young lad(HC 0.5) who shot 7 under the course when I was trying for a never done before 3 on the trot wins

Was told last night after the game that some lad had done this but thought they were pulling my leg.

Any way im not BITTER one bit and fair play to him only one off the course record!

Better than losing to a 28 h/capper who'd shot 10 over par I reckon.

41pts but only had a 6i left into our last which is a par 5 and pushed it into green side bunker so no one to blame but myself !

Surely if he's off 0.5 actual he's playing off 1 and therefor not one of the scratch golfers maligned by the post title

Sorry your right it was my mistake he was off of -0.5 so +1 lol just looked

At the end of the day you can't argue about good players shooting that low to win. Its a credit to him and his game. Shame about the iron into the last but at least you played decent golf and better and 99% of the field

Yes post was a little toung in cheek the lad is only 18 and just been dropped from 1st team so fair play to him!

lost a few uinion match's on the bounce i think. But then my friend was all flat through 9 in a match the other night then the bloke shot 5 birdies on the trot to take him out !

Oh and one of the lads who plays for Rotherham GC is the under 19 amature tour leader at the mo and is off of +4 i think and watched him take our course to bits !

not sur but think union 1st team is 5 and under and we have a load of v good 5 and under and a few scratch/+ golfers
