The last time our dustbin was emptied the binmen attached a little label to the handle.
It gave details of Christmas period collections for our grey and green bins.
Well they came and collected our green bin yesterday (recyclable rubbish). However, they are not due to empty our grey bin until the 10th of bloody January!!!

It's almost full now, no way will it last until the 10th. Looks like I'm going to have to bag up my household rubbish and take it to the tip.
Got loads of Chrimbo boxes and cardboard too big for the green bin,so you can guess where I'll be heading tomorrow.

Can't complain about our rubbish collection. Leaflet through the door in early December and plenty of info on the council's website particularly during the cold spell. Collections were done as normal which was pretty impressive given the snow and ice and the fact we are situated on a steep hill. Perhaps the words Tip and Christmas kept them going!

Bin's !! we don't have bin's here in Dorset (well where I live ) we have to buy black bags and if you put more than two out per week they moan.

Paper and cardboard is picked up every two weeks and has to be in a black box. Last year I put out the wrong box, a green one which is from where I use to live, and it was not picked up just a letter through the door saying it has to be a black box for them to collect.

So now I put it all in the same bag together and drop it off down the local tip.

We've got three bloody bins per house. Green for household waste, blue for recycling (plastic, paper etc) and brown for garden waste. As you can imagine all these outside the houses make the streets look really desirable
