Blisters!

I agree with Cernunnos, get yourself some new socks with new shoes, and better still, go to a proper jogging/running shop and buy a pair of 1,000 mile running socks. Boy are they comfy and you shouldn't get any blisters.

Golfmmad.

I picked up a pair of Zoom elites played 18 holes for the last 5 days no problems

Then again compared to my work boots anything is more comfortable

It was zoom elites that did the damage! I got them for £45 reduced from £110 so not as gutted as I would have been. Flippin sore though!

Better deal than me,payed 50 myself i think they are very comfy IMO each to there own though

Bang them on ebay i sure you will get a few quid for them, then get some dryjoy pods

I bought a pair of Nike Zoom Elites the other week...saw them advertised at a ridiculously low price and I'm not one to turn away a bargain. Wore them for the first time on Sunday. I did find my right foot getting a little sore towards the end of the round, not enough to cause a blister, but enough to draw my attention to it. Finished the round, put my "normal" shoes on and went in the bar for a drink with my mates. When I went to get up and leave, I was really pleased to find that my ankles, (which normally ache after even 18 holes due to years of football), were as good as gold. No pain whatsoever, which is very, very unusual. Don't know if it was the "air pocket heel" that did it, but was pleasantly surprised and will certainly be sticking with them in the hope that they will become more comfortable over the next few rounds. I did have quite thick sports socks on, which may have contributed towards the slight soreness. I'm playing 36 holes tomorrow so will wear thinner sock to see if they help but will take my AQL's as back up in case I want to change over after 18. But for me, the Nikes did what they said on the tin.

The worst pair of shoes I have ever owned by the way were a pair of Adidas. Quite a few years ago admittedly, but I wore them for 36 holes the first time out and I had blisters on my feet for weeks afterwards. They were awful, and I don't think I ever wore them again after that.

Bought a new pair of AQL's on Monday (my second pair) and played 36 holes with them on Tuesday, no problems.
I must say i do find the Footjoys a super pair of shoes to wear, although I have an old Adidas pair from about 5 years ago that I wear sometimes during the summer, they are very comfortable and light.

i had a pair of Stuburt helium pro shoes over the winter thinking they were going to be brilliant. How wrong was i!! The insoles on the right shoe came out in the first couple of rounds and then they started coming away from the sole and leaked like a sieve. Would've been better in just my socks i think.
I've got some nike airs now and aprt from the pointy toes(like winkle pickers) which take a bit of getting used to, they have done me proud in the 10 odd rounds i've played with them. They are probably the best shoes i've owned so far
