Bleedin Heat

Played Tuesday and Wednesday with no probs, but it was 36 c yesterday, some decent hills on the course and very high humidity .

Anyway all better now :)👍

Preaching to the choir, that's what its like 9 months of the year here... get yerself a buggy!
(in mid-winter now so just 24c and feeling a bit chilly)

Glad its all good

Typically, having dealt with this insane heat during the working week, tomorrow when I'm out on the golf course it's 19° degrees and thunderstorms supposedly.

Hate this level of heat/humidity as it plays havoc with my arthritis...

Had visitors this week and not really ventured out as the tube is not a pleasant experience in these conditions...
Truly feel for those having to commute into town for work while it is like this...

Can I be the first to say... I'm calling bull poo poo on this :D

I recall driving from Swindon to St Austell so my daughter and her pal could have a practice round before the English Girls/Ladies? Champ.
Weather was like now, and they came in after 5 holes.

Not many words were spoken on the journey back:(

Just had our 20 mins of rain. My course needs a lot of help as the fairways are so dry they're starting to crack in places. They like to overrated the greens though so they play like they do in the winter.. some normality would be greatly appreciated. I've been teeing up at 6:30-7am to make sure I get round before the hear comes back.
The club championship we had recently was a tough test teeing up in the last group at 10:10. Typical brit here wanting it to be sub 20 again!

Having a proper electrical storm now, persistently raining plus thunder and lightning for at least 15 minutes.

It will be raining by the end of the weekend. How do I know? Because I am off to Wales for five days golfing with a bunch of mates.

Seriously though it's getting a bit tedious now. Mainly because my lawn has been trashed and I'm fed up of watering the plants every night.

I posted this in jest, but it looks like tomorrow's golf at Newport GC could be a washout.

Hot, you don't know what hot is!

When I came off the course today it was a lovely 29*C, down by the sea. When I got home, 10 miles inland, it was 40*C. 30 mins later the breeze picked up from the south, and it reached 46*C. Those were shade temperatures. Quite what it was out in the sun, who knows?

But I suppose being on the edge of Europe's only desert, Deserto Tabernas, it might get a bit warm.
