Personally I'd asy stick with the cavity backs. Get proficient with those (15 h'cap or below) and then think about getting shiney new bats.

Good advice Bob (even managed to copy my spelling mistake).

I used cavity backs 'til I was off 12 I think, beautiful Howson Derby's. Like swing a lead weight.

I figured that if I could do ok with those I might be quite good with proper clubs.

How wrong can you be
