First ever strokeplay competition on Saturday and then the NE v NW Forum meet on Sunday.....what a great weekend to look forward to

Just back from playing a full 18 after work tonight and shot my best ever home track score.....here's hoping I haven't left it all on the training ground hey?

Stapleford comp on Saturday for me then NE v NW my first forum meet on Sunday, bring it on.

Good shooting tonight. With the strokeplay just try and play within yourself and if you have a bad hole don't start trying to hit further or attack pins to try and get it back. If you're in trouble play back safely and use your shots.

With the forum meet, despite all the banter etc these are FUN events and the onus is on everyone enjoying the day irrespective of how you play. Have fun and enjoy it.

Thanks for the comments mate - not worried about either event at all, too early in my golf career to worry about what I score (well as long as the NE kick ass of course ), but really looking forward to both events.

The highlight will be meeting the guys off here for sure.

I too have a busy weekend, I thought I would just get away with dressing as a cowboy and riding a horse to raise money for Hvy Horses on Sunday, but then I get a call yesterday invited to play in a vauxhall open at our place where they are running a comp within a comp for the invited guests only on Saturday, so I couldnt turn it down. I'll be nadgered on Sunday though.
