Opened my big mouth and said i'd sort out my local pub's golf h/c as their all moaning about each others h/c's, who, in your experience has the best site for this?, ta all,

I use skygolf.com. It's used for skycaddie scoring but you can input scorely manually. Tracks all the stats you want aswell.

I believe all such societies should have their own handicapping system - so that prizes etc are shared around fairly equally- it is meant to be a fun thing after all.

Something like winner losing 1 or 2 shots for an event or 2 - and maybe even a positive 'cut' (with no limit) if score less than a certain number of points (say 26 perhaps).

A pub social event shouldn't become so serious that you start arguing over the beers!

Pretty easy to knock up a simple spreadsheet to handle most styles.

If you and your mates are willing to forego £35 worth of booze, you can't go far wrong with the Society Edition of Handicapmaster. You can set your own rules for handicap adjustments. You can also have a 45-day free trial by downloading from the Handicapmaster website.
