Best round yet

Thing is though, off 19 he would come down 0.3 per shot, so if he shoots 10 over, he will drop 2.7 shots. Do this twice, and he will be off 14 odd. Not so easy then.

To me, you have to do this in competition. There is a world of difference between bounce games, and playing stroke play with your name in the book. It is a different sort of pressure. Especially if you don't play in many comps.

In bounce games, it is easy to have a hot start, and relax into it, and shoot a good score. In medal, a hot start can just make you play protective, or just wait for the wheel to come off.

I am not a believer in getting cut in casual play. Especially as you don't put the bad cards in, and there could be quite a few of those too.

Totally Agree Chris

I played with a 20 handicaper on Sat he shot four under his handicap and won we called him a Bandit it happens he was not trying to cheat.

I'm not calling Tony a cheat. I'm just saying that shooting scores like that should get your handicap down without having to play in qualifiers.
And lets be honest, there is a big difference between somebody having a great day and playing 4 under their handicap to somebody else having a great day and playing 15 under theirs!!

But surely, at this time of year, courses are shorter. Currently at my course we have no white tees and the yellows are further forward than normal.
The OP states that the course is open so one deduces that it's an easier course so surely the scores are going to be lower? Also, what was the SSS?

It's a great score but I'm not sure his home club should cut him. The clubs that I've been a member of have never acepted cards from other clubs unless it was an 'open'. They wouldn't even accept club v club cards as these were matchplay.

It does appear that the OP is playing some cracking golf and his handicap will come down.........just don't play him until it does!!! :)
