Moorland more like. Def not parkland.I may be wrong but Gleneagles certainly didn't feel like a heathland and I cant remember seeing any heather on either course.

I've not played many "top" parkland courses at all so Ill offer a couple of alternative options -
Coventry Golf club - little stunner.
Cleobury Mortimer (more for the actual parkland setting than the course - stunning huge trees on the older holes)
Of the courses I've played:
Loch Lomond
Woburn
Hadley Wood
The Grove
On the GB&I top 100 list, 97 courses look like links or heathland. Loch Lomond is the first parkland on the list at 37, before Adare Manor at 59 and JCB at 93. This may not be very fashionable, but Loch Lomond was amazing and I'd rate it higher than some of the revered courses like Swinley, Woodhall Spa and North Berwick.
I’ll be playing Rolls and Ross in August. It will be my first time at Ross so hoping for good things.Lots of gooduns mentioned... I Played Ross on Wye this afternoon. They're renovating the bunkers and have done a super job. Great place in the summer, bit mucky in places today. I prefer it to "Rolls." Worth a stop if in the area.
I'd agree, I don't think Gleneagles would consider itself as a parkland, well not the kings and QueensSurely Gleneagles is more heathland / moorland than parkland? The definitions can be subjective, I just don't see them that way.
As we all know Links and Heathland courses dominate people's lists of best courses, but which are your favourite Parkland tracks?
I'm at a Parkland, and it would be useful to be able to compare and contrast my place with those others prefer to see what we get right and wrong.
Bondhay play in the Nottinghamshire Alliance, so not North Yorkshire. Interesting course, although there are far too many trees in my opinion.Others have already been mentioned so I won't repeat them but one that is absolutely fabulous and is barely mentioned is Bondhay, North Yorks.

Apologies. Thanks for correcting. It was a bit of a guess!Bondhay play in the Nottinghamshire Alliance, so not North Yorkshire. Interesting course, although there are far too many trees in my opinion.

And it has all three of the Woburn courses
But it doesn’t have the courses where you can’t book a green fee as a visitor
Brancepeth is brilliant
Most Heathland golf courses I have played are built on sand.I'd agree, I don't think Gleneagles would consider itself as a parkland, well not the kings and Queens
I forgot that I have played Mount Juliet. In order from my favourite :-
Mount Juliet
Loch Lomond
Woburn Marquess
JCB
Thorndon Park
Hainault Forest (conditioning not great etc, was a council course, but some cracking layout holes on the course).
Edit from a pure conditioning point of view, almost the best anywhere Belfry
