If we ignore putting I hit most shots with my irons and wedges so for me it has to be Mizuno by a country mile. Changed from my cast Titleist AP1s & SM4 Vokeys to JPX 850 Forged & T5s in November and only regret not doing it sooner. Wonderful golf clubs.

If you had a separate category for woods I'd probably say Cobra.

Putters I've not tried enough. Ideally would like my Ping Anser 2 in a milled vesion with the TrueRoll grooves...

As much as I love titleist gear I think Mizuno is proper players clubs. MP5's are a thing of beauty!!!!

When I grow up I hope to be able to hit such clubs :-)

I really like the look of Mizuno stuff but couldn't afford to get a set

I'd love to see what brands such as Mizuno & Titleist are capable of knocking out if the were told the RRP for a set of irons would be half the current (or perhaps they'd then just be another Callaway/TM/Cobra & its just budgets that mean they knock out really nice looking gear)

I think a lot of people don't appreciate the level of craft that goes into Mizuno irons and wedges. They are forged clubs which is a more expensive and time consuming process. You can pick up a T5 or S5 wedge both forged with free shaft and grip upgrade for under £100. Compare that to the cost of the SM6's. Personally I think cast clubs are over priced when you look at the cost of mizuno forged offerings...

I've always loved the look of the Mizuno classic irons, not so much the JPX stuff though. Srixon's Z series is beautiful too. Orka gets a mention too. Don't like offset or heavy cavity backs, but that's just personal preference.

I think they're all good, can't really say I'm a fanboy as most fanboys are in dire need of a slap - droning on about why you should've got this or that, when really I should've put my 9 iron around their annoying kneecaps.

not sure if its based on looks or build quality etc etc

But build wise and over all customer experience I have to say ping, maybe down to the fact that they dont really do forged irons. But seem to have been around from the dawn of time. Never seen them break or hear/read a bad report. From day one purchasing to sending a 10 year old set to replace a swing weight.. Never let down

I'll say Mizuno. They'll definitely be the next brand I go to once I've finished with my Ping's which I'm using at the moment. I've had so many problems with them. 4 weights have fallen out of the back of the club heads on the i25's.

Cant wait to get a new set

It's impossible to have one best answer as some OEM's are better than others at different rages.

For me:

Woods - Callaway
Irons - Mizuno/Cleveland
Wedges - Cleveland
Putter - Odyssey

voted for PING although imo Cally are best for woods and Mizuno for irons and i love Titleist wedges but because overall if i had to chose a manufacturer to fill the entire bag it would be PING

Thought i'd dive in with my first post on here, having just joined 5 mins ago !
Having played Mizuno irons for over 30 years, I've naturally voted for them, without doubt, imo, they have produced more classic irons than any other manufacturer, no doubt there will be differing opinions about that !

Interesting to read all the people that want Mizuno irons, just go get some then. I love them personally and have played Titleist, TM and Muzuno irons and still love Mizuno over all of them. I've had TP9, T-Zoid Pro II, MP-33, JPX 825 Pro😳 and now the MP-15.

Nothing feels like a Mizuno and for bling in the bag, people always look at them and drool at the sexiness.
