Best car you ever had

Would probably have been even quicker if it didn't have all that mud to carry Jon, and they say that silver cars don't show the dirt.:D

:D

One of the few downsides to living in Woodhall Spa. That was taken at my parents hotel. The 1st hole on the Bracken is about 30ft to the right of that photo.

Triple Bogey - I WILL own an Integra TypeR one day. Probably my dream car.

Brendy - Nice Cupra! You're right about value for money with the SEATs. I paid £10k for my Toledo which was a year old and had 12k on the clock. Even a Leon FR of the same spec (only difference being the bodykit on the FR and a few other interior cosmetic bits) was 5 grand more. Same spec'd Golf (if you could find a GTTDI with the 150BHP TDI engine - they're rarer than rocking horse do-do) was around 17k. Really good value for money cars all round. Never had a serious problem with it either.

You'd get on well with TimGolfy as he's a Scooby nut as well. ;) His car is very similar to yours.

my Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE, absolutely love it but it will be going in the new year, can't justify two cars at the moment and the wife's Mazda CX7 is more practical (and ridiculously fast)

Enough you "Boy racers"!

My favourite has to be the old people carrier, Toyota Previa. Super smooth to drive, comfy, spacious with the biggest boot out there. Could take all the family out together, even the Mother-in-law!

But it drank petrol like a lad on a stag night!! Had to get rid with the soaring price of petrol. Had 2 over the years, both 8 seaters.

Went on a society day once and was picked up in a Previa with 6 other blokes. Driver got all 7 golf bags in the boot, including my pull trolley.

I've only owned 2. One was an 89 <1.0 VW Polo the other is my current 98 306 2.0 TD. The 306 wins.

Best I've got access to driving is probably my brothers Insignia.

First decent car I ever owned is still the one I most fondly remember. A white Nissan Sunny with a red go-faster stripe down the sides.

Far far too many rich people on here for me to live with.

Happy enough with my Chelsea tractor X-Trail. Does the jobby nicely for me.

My favourite car was the first I ever owned.

Had been on the family cars at home in Ireland until I moved over to london. Got a job that needed a car and had very little dough to buy one. Got myself a wee 1.6S ford fiesta with nasty alloy wheels. Someohow, I ended up on a train to shakespeare coutry - stradford upon avon to buy it from the friend of a friend's cousin.

Was a great car for london but not so good for the daily trek from Wembley to Hook !

It was full of rust, no radio and had the whole left side rammed in by someone(not sure who as it was parked in the street). The boot had to be opened by a cable which ran through the car to the passenger seat.

Lost it on a wet and windy saturday trying to find uxbridge golf course of all places!

Rammed her into the back of a jaguar about 5 mins from the course. Poor wee car was totalled and the jag only had 1000 quids worth of damage. The air bag deploying was like the death rattle described in historical books, a puff of smoke followed by a wheeze and a cough before deflating.

Broke my heart to pull the tax disc and the radio out of her (hard times then) and left her in the car park of a garden center to be collected.

IT was a proper banger, that got bullied on the motorway but will always be remembered.

* the fiesta holds the sentimental spot. The best car I have had is the current Audi A4

Most fun was the Clio RenaultSport 180bhp I had, used to love thrashing it round the country lanes.......

I'm now married with kids so have a new Mondeo. Very nice but not quite the same...
