Best and worst golf movies?

Most of them aren't great but Tin Cup is far and away the best movie. Happy Gilmore has some of the best moments. The sequence with the pro-am partner is hilarious. Caddyshack is hideously dated now.

"Hey check out this hat. Last time I saw someone wearing a hat like this, they got a free bowl of soup ...... looks good on you though"

"Want to make 10 bucks the hard way?"

After enduring "The Greatest Game Ever Played" what is your worst and best golf movie?

It was too bad if it wasn't for the Disney schmaltz and you wonder the liberties they took with the historical accuracy of the whole story.

Whats wrong with this film? Read the book first and enjoyed both.

personally ive ever only seen 3 films about golf and i rate them in this order:

1 Happy Gilmore
2 Caddy Shack
3 Legend of baggervance

Can anyone insert clips of Marty Feldmans " long range golf " and Leslie Nielson's " bad golf made easier ". old but still funny.

Have to say that I'm a bit surprised that there was never a Carry On film based on golf - Carry On Holing Out anyone? Oooh - I say!!

A Carry on Golf film, you can just imagine the inuendo. Sid James as the lavacious golf coach, Babara Windsor as the ditsy but willing golf pupil

Sid "Just lean forward keeping you eye on the balls"
Babs "Oii Saucy"
Sid "Right now grip the shaft"
Babs with annoyed look turns a slaps Sid.

Along with other lines like, "oh he's just playing around with Sandra", camera shift to two pairs of feet sticking out from under a bush.

There are plenty other possibilities.

For me,
1)The Greatest Game Ever Played
2)Dead Solid Perfect (only available on vhs about a party loving tour player)
3)Caddyshack
4)The legend Of Bagger Vance
5)Tin Cup

Really want to see Miracle On The 17th Green, anyone got a copy for sale?
