After enduring "The Greatest Game Ever Played" what is your worst and best golf movie?

It was too bad if it wasn't for the Disney schmaltz and you wonder the liberties they took with the historical accuracy of the whole story.

Tin Cup and Caddyshack are great films as well as my all time favourite Happy Gillmore. JACKASS!

The greatest game ever played was pretty poor.

Theres only one !! Happy Gilmore !!:D

tappy tappy tappy

Makes me laugh when Shooter has got to get over that bunker and his caddy goes, "5 iron?", and shooter says, "give me my wedge", holes the chip turns to the caddy and says, "5 iron huh?, you're fired. Bye-bye".

Like any sensible caddy would have recommended a 5 iron in that situation :)

Happy gilmour is a classic and is available to download on on demand. I will be watching it today

I love tin cup, can't beat playing a whole round with a 7 iron.

Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius is a great film - lots of club throwing and swearing in that too

In truth it has to be the film The 2012 Ryder Cup - Miracle at Medinah

As much as because the only sports that make really good films are to do with the likes of climbing or sailing. Endurance stuff. Golf films - even Caddyshack and the like - are not actually very funny the tenth time round - and a serious film with golf at it's core - well you could do one but only golfers would watch.

Have to say that I'm a bit surprised that there was never a Carry On film based on golf - Carry On Holing Out anyone? Oooh - I say!!

I agree with Happy Gilmour.

I watched CaddyShack for the first time yesterday. It was funny but also kinda strange. I did not know that Rory McIlroy was in the film. The boy who plays the main character looks a bit like him.

I actually can't stand Happy Gilmore.. It comes from not liking Adam Sandler and fact he plays the same character in every film.

I really want to see the film about Ben Hogan that sounds pretty good. I'm not sure golf really lends itself to the Big Screen as Tin Cup is ok, Legend Of Bagger Vance I just don't buy Matt Damon as a golfer and the greatest game ever played with Shia LeBouf is awful.

top Film of golfing genre is Caddyshack Imo, Tai Webb & Carl Spackler are awesome characters.

Was just about to post about opening myself up for a slating! But I've never warmed to Happy Gilmore in the slightest the Adam Sandler character works in some places but on a golf course not so much!

I like Bagger Vance despite Matt Damon's golfer!

Think TinCup is probably my favourite golf film but I wouldn't put it close to my top 10 films!

I watched goldfinger again last night. bond vs goldfinger :) great match. oddjob doing caddy LOL

One of my favs also - apparantly it did a hell of a lot for the game when it was released also. However the narrative in the original book is better still.

For laughs it has to be Caddyshack for me although Happy Gilmore is a close second.
