well traded in the left handed putter I mistakenly bought on ebay and got myself a Odyssey 2 ball belly putter... tried em all and have to say it felt great and most importantly straight.

round tomoz morning so lets see how it goes :)

any more belly users out there?

Nice, I will be interested to see how this works out for you. What made you pick a belly putter? better for drop shots? :D

Did you receive any advice about what to look for with this putter?

I tried em all, I am a bit wristy, got a v-easy and its good but just never felt comfortable over my 'other' putter.

tried the standard 2 ball, Nike Method, scotties, rife and the 2 balls felt the best with the belly just lovely to putt with. different on proper greens no doubt :)

I have one.

Before I got it my putting was horrendous. I'd three putt from any distance and I started to freeze over short putts.

I then bought the 2ball belly putter.

WHAT a club!!!

My putting is now VERY good - I rarely three putt and my putting from distance is now good.

I know that they're not everyone's cup of tea but it's aided my game hugely. I've dropped almost two shots off my handicap this year and that's pretty much down to the putter.

Never tried one. Had a go at a broomhandle and hated it but if the belly works then go for it. Putting is so much about confidence and so if you are standing there thinking you won't make it with a normal one then chances are you won't. If the longer version restores the good thoughts and you start making a few then it will snowball

geez youve barely been playing the game a few years and youve quit on a proper putter and using an OAP long handle - the sooner the R&A ban these mostrocities the better imho

I have used a Seemore Belly putter for the last 3 rounds due to missing short putts and I have rarely missed one since and have made several really good long putts.

I agree, and I have still got my rossa agsi, the one I traded in was a left handed one I bid on and won when drunk without realising it was a leftie doh.

Its not so much the stroke being grooved, I just never felt comfortable with it, I have had rounds with 29 putts on 2 occasions so can get by ok with it. Just wanted a mallet/2ball type and the belly one felt bloody lovely to use

Hard to argue with the 2 ball putters, I bought one for my regular playing partner who was having a bad time on the greens recently.

Currently going through a dry spell with the Scotty, has led to me getting a Sabretooth to try, something completely different though no doubt Ill soon be back to the Scotty (if i can prise it back from Alex!)
