Belleisle / Seafield in Ayr

Moving to Ayr next month (by the looks of it) and will need to find a home club.

If we get the house we want then these courses will be 3 minutes from my house so well worth a consideration.

Any Scotlanders give me a recommendation as to which club would be best to join? Obviously I'll get the ticket which allows me to play on both courses.

If i were moving there i would be looking at;

Troon, Prestwick or Turnberry.

Rude not to

Prestwick St Nicholas and Prestwick St Cuthberts.

I also believe there is a muni card that allows you play on about 5 courses including Troon Lochgreen.

Don't really want to be spending £1700 next year on golf so looking at a budget option.

As for the area I'm hopefully moving to, thanks for your comments but I'm not really interested. What a completed rude thing to post.

Belleisle and Seafield as stated are municipal courses.You will find various clubs use these as their home courses.When you get there it may be worth asking Alan in the starters office if he has any details regarding the clubs.

I have a season ticket which covers all South Ayrshire courses,see the link someone provided a few posts up.
Both the courses have been really good this year,the facilities are all temporary due to a multi million pound redevelopment.

D.F.T. is the man to tell you all, as he use to run the place. There was members card that got you access to about 10 courses around the area.
If I remember there was a thread re-Belleisle and other Ayrshire course about 2 years ago.

If all goes to plan, I'm definitely going for the South Ayrshire pass which means I'll be able to play a tonne of golf at different courses. Very cheap too.

The only decision left to be made is which club to join.

I played Belleisle at Easter time. My fiance is from Ayr and we go down to visit regularly.

I have a similar membership in Edinburgh where I can play all the municipal courses. Its great cause you can get a tee time on a choice of 7 instead of just 1.

Ayr is a nice place, by the sea side and you should visit Arran to play golf. I heard the courses there are lovely
