Four of us are aiming to go to the Belek area of Turkey in mid to late April.
Anyone have any experience of that area.
I'm really after do's and don't's and which course to play or miss.
Thanks all.

12 of us are in Belek from 26th April until 3rd May - this will be our 7th annual trip to Belek.

The hotels are superb, as are the courses - we haven't played any course we didn't enjoy.

There are places of interest if you're not golfing or sunbathing - those are the only two things I do (except eating and lots of drinking).

Went to Belek a few years ago with a group of lads, we stayed at the Voyage Hotel (all inclusive) and I've got to be honest, it was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Absolutely spot on.
The only time we ventured out was to play golf as everything we needed (unlimited beer and food) was on tap!
Played a few courses around the area, the only one I wouldn't rush to play again was the "Montgomerie" ..... too much sandy "waste area" encroaching the fairways. Saw enough sand that day to last the whole week, and kinda ruined it for us.
Played The National, Cayra, (a "heathland" course in Turkey??!!), and Cornelia (Faldo) with it's 3 loops of 9. Very (very) tight. Bit like the Duchess at Woburn, too tight in places.
We played a couple of others (PGA Sultan) and I can't remember the name of the other one!
My favourite was Cayra I think. You can play night golf there now apparently, but we went before this was available (not that I'd have wanted to do it anyway, nights are for drinking when you're on holiday!).
My least favourite was the Montgomerie as mentioned above. Too much sand. Much to much sand.
If you're on your game, then Cornelia is worth a punt, but as I say it is very tight.
And special mention must be made of the trees in Turkey. I have never known golf balls ricochet like it. If you hit one, be prepared for a long trek to find your ball. They must be made of rubber!

If you get the chance, Carya at night under the floodlights is spectacular.

12 of us arrive in Belek on May 3rd, may pass you at the airport :)

1st time in Turkey for us, usually go to the Algarve, it's nice to see so many positive reviews

Stayed at the Cornelia Diamond twice. You can't really go wrong at any of the big hotels.
The Faldo courses are too tough as holiday courses. Bowed fairways that roll off into the trees with scrub planted under them. Utter nightmare. Worse with a honking hangover from all-inclusive bevy. Oh and the trees are 100% solid. Nothing goes through them.
Carya is a must. Really fun layout.
If you're booking now to go in April I think you'll struggle to get tee-times.
Never did much out with hotel as it was out of season and most places were closed.
