Hi all,

I've flirted with this game on and off a few times but have now finally taken some lessons which has made a huge difference!

I'm currently driving the ball about 230 yards on the range and hitting a 7 iron to about 155.

What type of difference will high quality balls out on the course make to these distances?

(I've only played about 4 rounds in my life)

Thanks in advance!

When you say hi quality i suppose you mean pro-v1s and z-stars and such.

Most of the top quality balls are not distance balls they are made to react better (more spin) around the greens and on approch shots.

The ones with less spin are usualy called distance balls and are easier to control off the tee?

However i dont find that there is a lot of difference distance wise between the two.

Lots of people who go to the range say that the range ball will go 20% less distance so if you believe that just add 20% to your distances.
