Now we've had a bit of good weather up here, I see the bees are coming out again. Lovely to see but I've just had to remove a couple from my house (gently and left them in the sun to warm up) which must have come in through open windows. Both on the floor. Big blighters so I'm glad we didn't stand on them.

I've seen a couple of the big bumblebees too. Maybe they start work earlier because they have less surface area relative to their weight, I have no idea I'm not a scientist.

This morning I also opened a jar of last year's honey from a neighbour a few doors down. It is delicious.

Your local honey is also an excellent thing to have daily if you suffer from hayfever at home. The honey is made from the local pollen, and little by little can help you become accustomed to the local pollens, lessening the impact of hayfever.

I was working outside the shed this morning and a bumble bee flew in to it just as I was about close up. Probably looking for somewhere to nest it took an age to fly out out again so I could close up.
