Current fave is Carolus, Curvee Van De Keizer, its 12% and gives you a happy warm feeling all over once you have had a couple of bottles.. hic

I don't revisit beers very often but recently I've taken a craving for some more Trappists. Currently ageing a couple of bottles of Orval to let the brett do its work as I've only really had it fresh before. I'm lucky enough to have tried Westvleteren 12 and blond and I loved them both. The Rochefort range is superb and a real "go to" for quality. Same with St. Bernadus.
God, I'm dying for a beer now! Haha.

Used to love Orval, but got hammered on it at the CAMRA beer festival in St Albans a few years ago, same with Rochefort, they had a barrel of 12, again at the Camra beer fest. mate and i drank they whole thing, had a hangover for at least 2 days, steer clear now

I get over to Bruges once a year now and the range and quality of beers is stunning.
not sure if its still there but there was a Belgian Cafe around the corner from Farringdon Tube, they had a menu of beers of about 20 pages thick, had some in there i'd never heard of, even had a few that were 20%.

I have a nice little collection of beer glasses at home, different shapes for different beers and ales. Always best to use the correct type of glass for the drink.

Strongest beer I've had so far was about 60% but that's been freeze distilled to within an inch of its life. Brewdog have a few that are worth trying, too, that drink more like whiskeys that sit around 30% and 40%.

Never had anything by them yet, but looking at their range I don't think it would appeal to me. Looks like mostly cask in traditional English styles, which isn't my thing but fair play to any micro-brewery getting their foot on the ladder!

It doesn't taste nice, for the most part. Some do, but for me they're generally dry-hopped and made to a higher standard with better quality ingredients.
