Battery issues on mobile when accessing this forum

I am finding great chunks of battery percentage are lost, just reading brief replies on this forum... is there a 3rd party app that reduces that? No other website does it to my phone.
Or is this normal ?

It may be that the software loads large amounts of data into memory and has to manipulate it when moving around the site as opposed to loading and dumping data when required.

Minimised everything down, checked and it’s this web forum that sucks the battery dry.
Tried to stop the ads but it’s still sucking the battery
