Bath

Beautiful city. The open top tour bus is a good start, the roman baths and museum are very good. Others: pump room, pultney weir, cathedral, thermaie spa. Royal crescent, American museum, rugby, nice little side streets with old pubs cafes and restaurants. If you have time take a day trip to Bristol on the train and see the ss great Britain. The architecture is amazing, you should love it.

Have to agree with this summary, we loved Bath. Managed to get parked pretty easily along at a cricket ground next to the River and just walked from there. We were staying in a cottage nr Longleat in Wiltshire though so can't comment on hotels, just travelled in -

That is astonishing, i thought it was a bit strange back then.

Last time there was a European game against a French team.
Nice hospitality with a great meal sitting with some of the players parents.
Start was delayed an hour because of frost in a corner area, then delayed another hour.
Finally postponed until the next day and we had to endure it all again.:lol:
